Tonight my instructor pulled me out of class twice to make me take a water break. He praised me for not puking.

My conditioning sucks so bad.

Is it your conditioning, or your pacing? Are you pushing yourself to prove something? Why aren't you doing some conditioning training? Endurance conditioning sounds like the best thing for you know. That and confidence training would help tons.

The class was conditioning training. We condition by punching and kicking at a rapid pace. We try to endure. I'm confident that, if I keep it up (I've been doing martial arts for maybe 3.5 years now), I will be in better condition.

I see. Now, what else could you do to improve your conditioning?

More grit.

I know a lot of people say that running/jogging doesn't translate to cardio endurance -- but I noticed a MAJOR increase in my endurance when I started running. And a major decrease when I stopped.

I really recommend fitting some run/jog into your day.

It'd be no doubt beneficial. But, damn, I started martial arts because I hate running!

I wish people praised me for not puking.

I've always felt you do a fine job of not puking. If you generally looked more green you'd probably get more credit for it.
