The fun thing with rewrites is, you get to hate your book all over again.

Okay, actually, I kinda like my book, but I'm sorta tired of working on it.

I don't hate my book!

I hate my ability to write my book.

Perhaps I need more coffee.

I can almost feel your pain. I say almost because I'm not quite tired of working on this story--but I can see it coming in the not too distant future. If I don't finish this draft by the end of July--yeah, I'll be there.

I have to start revisions on chapter 2 today and whenever I look at my draft I feel sick to my stomach! Even though the chapter itself has some pretty neat stuff going on.

You know, if you'd just get the darned thing right the first then everything else would be so much easier!

Can you move from hating your book to simply shaking your head at it disapprovingly, asking it why it can't be more like Norse Code, then go out to the garage and drink several beers?
