Book 2

Started Book 2 of The Osteomancer’s Son. I’ve never written a sequel or a continuation of a series, so this is new territory for me. I do have a basic understanding that I’ll need to pick up unresolved threads from the last book and raise the stakes and up the antes and goose the aunts and uncles or whatever. I have been quite surprised by the change in my technique and internal thought processes brought about by writing second and third books in series (or at least in continuity). You will be too, I am confident.

I'll look forward to seeing how things change unless the changes HORRIFY ME.

Oh, you will know horror...

Actually, I have some serious thoughts about this based on my experiences with the MAINSPRING and GREEN trilogies. Maybe I'll make them into a blog post in the next day or two, or if you want and think it might be helpful to you, we can correspond via email.

I'll look forward to your post (if you decide to write it), and I'm already thinking about some things I'd like to ask you.

Thank you! Boy, it was a long time ago that you read my first stab at this book back at Starry Heaven.
