Bio
I'm a science fiction and fantasy writer (see my bibliography), living in San Diego. I used to live in Arizona. Arizona's beaches suck. San Diego's beaches are so awesome that I want to tell you they're terrible so as to avoid human beach clot. But they don't suck.

I've published about two-dozen short stories and NORSE CODE (Ballantine Spectra), a fantasy novel about Norse gods, Los Angeles, and the end of the world. My first middle-grade novel KID VS. SQUID, is about a boy who's forced to spend his vacation in a weird Central California beach town where the survivors of Atlantis wash ashore every summer.

I drink a lot of coffee. I practice kung fu. Then I drink more coffee.
