Sleeeeeep!! I need sleeeeeeep!
But I'm at the airport, waiting for the first leg of my flight to Blue Heaven (it's a novel workshop on Kelley's Island, Ohio).
Since I have an electrical outlet for my laptop machine, I've decided to video blog my entire Blue Heaven experience.
Or at least the part of it where I eat breakfast at the airport at five in the morning.

I'd meant to blog more from Blue Heaven, but the bandwidth on the island made it hard to upload photos. (The connection from the miniature golf course was faster than it was in the Pump, but the golf course doesn't serve the World Famous Brandy Alexander.)
The men's hut this year was a newly restored house of an architectural style I usually refer to as Cool Old House, and it was too classy for the likes of us. There were pillows and pillow-like objects on my bed with all sorts of fancy ruffles and things, but once I moved those aside my bed was totally comfy.
Here's a picture of the house, which kind of illustrates why I hardly blogged. You'll notice there are no people in the pic. That's because, when we were sitting on the porch before breakfast, drinking coffee (or sticky pop, in the case of Mr. Melko), enjoying the morning air, the last thing I wanted to do was go fetch my camera to document it. Same thing with visits to the Pump or the ice cream shop or the deck at the Eagle's Nest. I hope my fellow BH-ers blog a bunch and post photos, though, because I want to read all about it.

In terms of getting quality critical feedback on my book, I couldn't be happier, and I'm looking forward to diving into the next draft. Because even after seeing all the book's flaws exposed and articulated, I'm still really excited about it, and now I have some great ideas about making it better. I'm aiming to have a solid revision in a month or less.
It's really good to be home, but I miss my fellow BH-ers already. I'll get to see some of them at Worldcon, but I doubt there'll be expeditions dedicated to dipping in the lake and eating ice cream and finding fossils, all in the same day.
