Ho-ho-ho!!!! I'm going to be posting a Christmas song here every day for the next thirty days, and maybe even after that, because as I have mentioned on numerous occasions I am a complete and utter yule fool. It's going to be a mix of old standards, cheesy 70s' variety show clips, and little bits of Christmas oddity I found while looking for other things, but all of it stuff I like. I figure there's gotta be something in there you'll like too. Unless you hate Christmas music, in which case you are a humbugger, and that's gonna make this journal a tough stop for you. But, c'mon, stay for the goose!
Today's selection is "Baby It's Cold Outside" performed by Selma Blair and Rainn Wilson. It's from a Gap ad. Of course there are a lot of versions of this song. It made its first public appearance in the film Neptune's Daughter and was sung by Ricardo Montalban and Esther Williams. I was going to go with that one, but the way Montalban's characters keeps physically restraining Esther as she tries to leave his wolf pad is actually kind of creepy. No means no, Noonien Singh. Anyway, I really like this version. The gender roles are reversed, and it's awful cute. Selma Blair sings nice, too.

Buying Christmas wrapping paper might be my favorite part of Christmas shopping. :-D
I also wish to note that, even though many people say you can use a mop or a broom as a bo staff, actually using a mop or broom as a bo staff is really awkward. But maybe it's just because the aisle at Target wasn't wide enough.
