So, The Boy at the End of the World is getting a shiny new cover for the paperback edition. The book’s due out in October, but the cover’s starting to hit some of the online booksellers, so, hey, I’m going to show it to you now. This is me, showing it to you. And here’s the new cover, below. Personally, I think it’s action-packed and nicely robot-y. What do you think?

Wow. It's like a big field of...white screen.

Server problems? Or perhaps you're going with the White Album approach?

Hrm. Server hiccup, maybe. I'm still seeing it after clearing cache and checking different browsers.

If you're thinking of Beatles album covers as inspiration for Ostermancer's Son, I'd rather we go with the butcher cover.

Now, see, I had in mind all of the major characters in "In the Tyrol" gear, holding their hands up in various signaling postures.

Excuse me, osteomantic signaling postures.

Oh, wow! I like that cover even more than the first. I'm going to have to add it to the collection. :) Which do you like better? Or are you a good parent, and don't pick favorites?

Aesthetically, I prefer the hardcover, but I think the pb might have more kid appeal. Hope so, anyway!
